Triple Threat: How Dortmund Entrepreneurs are Revolutionizing Diaspora Connections through Appucinoo

A new application designed by Croats for the global diaspora: ‘From job hunting to entertainment, we’ve got you covered’

A trio of young entrepreneurs from Dortmund, Josip Burazin, Goran Kanjir, and Stjepan Duman, came up with the idea to connect people in the diaspora through an advertising platform called ‘Appucinoo’ application. The application, developed in Croatian, provides information on where Croatians and other people from the former Yugoslav countries gather, places they go on weekends, services in their language, and more. This platform aims to benefit both individuals and businesses by connecting them to services and activities.

Goran Kanjir, who moved to Dortmund in 2012, discussed the idea with Josip Burazin, who has lived in Dortmund his whole life. With Kanjir’s IT skills and marketing experience, they founded a company to create an application that caters to the needs of people in the diaspora. The Appucinoo application was developed based on user needs in their living area.

The name ‘Appucinoo’ is a combination of ‘application’ and ‘cappuccino’, symbolizing how people often exchange information and make agreements over a cup of coffee. The application aims to unite people from the diaspora under one ‘hood’ or ‘cap’. It provides private users with access to activities and services in their language and offers advertising opportunities to business users.

The Appucinoo application can be installed on mobile devices and is currently expanding to Austria. It allows users to create profiles, chat with others, and see the distance between them. The founders are gathering new partners and expect positive reactions from users as they continue to expand and improve the platform.

In summary, these three entrepreneurs have come up with a unique way to connect people from different backgrounds through an advertising platform called Appucinoo. With its focus on catering to the needs of people in the diaspora by providing relevant information about activities and services available in their language
