Transforming Health Care: A Population Health Approach at Slippery Rock University’s Panel Discussion

Panel of Population Health Experts to be Hosted by SRU on April 25th

On April 25th, Slippery Rock University will host a panel discussion on population health. The event will take place at the Smith Student Center Ballroom at 6 p.m. and will feature expert panelists discussing how population health is transforming the healthcare sector.

Population health is an approach that focuses on the health status and outcomes of a group of people rather than individuals. The panelists for this event are leaders in the region’s healthcare sector, including two SRU alumni. They include Michael Grace, Dan LaVallee, David Tupponce, and Stacey Vaccaro.

The event is sponsored by SRU’s Health Care Administration and Management Department, the College of Health Professions, and the Future Health Care Leaders of SRU student organization. David Jordan, an SRU professor, highlights the importance of social determinants of healthcare and how they are intertwined with population health initiatives.

Interested individuals can RSVP by using an online registration form. More information about SRU’s health care administration and management programs can be found on the department’s webpage. For media inquiries, contact Justin Zackal at justin.zackal@sru.edu or 724.738.4854.
