Trailer Theft in Fort Lauderdale: $50,000 to $75,000 in Valuables Stolen in Less Than 10 Minutes

Surveillance cameras catch thief stealing 22-foot trailer from Fort Lauderdale business on WSVN 7News

A man’s trailer worth $50,000 to $75,000 was stolen from a fenced-in yard next to his business in Fort Lauderdale. Surveillance cameras captured the moment a thief pulled up in a truck and hooked up the 22-foot trailer before driving off in less than 10 minutes. The perpetrator took off after closing the gate behind him.

Mike Terango, the owner of the stolen trailer, believes that the thief may have been looking specifically for his four-wheelers or just got lucky that they were inside the trailer at the time. He is offering a $10,000 cash reward for information leading to the thief’s arrest and hopes that his actions will prevent this from happening to someone else in the future.

If you have any information on this theft or the subject’s whereabouts, you can call Broward County Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS to provide a tip anonymously and potentially receive a reward of up to $5,000.
