Tragic Theft: Small Business Owner Ron Baker Devastated, Community Rallies to Help Recover Stolen Tools

Deputies in Pierce County locate stolen truck belonging to Tacoma business owner

A Tacoma business owner, Ron Baker, was left devastated after his box truck containing his entire gutter business was stolen from his property on Friday night. He thought he would have to start from scratch, but there was some good news on Monday night when the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office informed KIRO 7 that the truck had been recovered. Unfortunately, it is unclear if all of Baker’s tools were still inside the truck.

The truck was discovered during a response to an unwanted person call on 72nd Avenue South in Roy. Deputies found a man sleeping inside the truck and soon realized that it had been stolen. The man was then arrested for the theft. KIRO 7 is currently gathering more details about how the truck was found and the condition of the tools inside.

In an effort to assist Baker in purchasing new tools and equipment for his business, a GoFundMe page has been set up. The community is rallying behind him during this difficult time, showing support for a small business owner in need.
