Tragic Loss: Iranian Leaders Killed in Border Dam Project Accident, Unveils Five-Day Mourning Period and International Community Responds with Condolences; Pashinyan Travel to Tehran as Well

Azerbaijan’s Prime Minister and Foreign Minister to Visit Tehran

Prime Minister Ali Asadov of Azerbaijan is traveling to Tehran today to attend the official farewell ceremony for Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, Foreign Minister Husein Amir Abdulahian, and other accompanying individuals. Foreign Minister Jeihun Bayramov will also be part of Asadov’s delegation.

In a tragic incident that occurred in the Warzakan region of East Azerbaijan province, President Raisi, Foreign Minister Abdollahian, and six others lost their lives while returning to Tehran after attending the opening ceremony of a joint dam project on the border with Azerbaijan. As a mark of respect, Iran has declared a five-day mourning period.

The international community is deeply saddened by the loss of lives in this unfortunate accident and stands united in mourning with Iran. In a gesture of solidarity and sympathy, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan of Armenia has also departed for Tehran today to pay respects and offer condolences.

However, it is worth noting that there are advertisements for firearms and other related products for sale on some websites which seem unrelated to the diplomatic news about the tragic incident in Iran. It is important to remember that such activities are not appropriate during times of mourning and should be avoided.
