Tragic Accident: Man Dies Between Wall and Container on Frelinghuysen Avenue in Newark

Police say man discovered deceased between wall of New Jersey business and shipping container

On Tuesday afternoon, a man was discovered dead between the wall of a Newark business and a shipping container on the 200 block of Frelinghuysen Avenue. The police were called to the scene at 3:55 p.m., and officers and firefighters quickly arrived to try and rescue the man.

Despite their efforts, however, they were unable to extricate him from the tight space, and he was declared dead at the scene just over an hour later. According to Newark Public Safety Director Fritz FragĂ©, foul play was not suspected in the man’s death.

No further details were released on Tuesday evening as the incident remains under investigation. The authorities are currently seeking any information from the public that could aid in their investigation.
