The 2024 Men’s Basketball Transfer Portal Tracker, sponsored by Three Notch’d Brewing, is currently underway for the offseason. With graduations and the departure of coach Mark Byington, the JMU men’s basketball team is expected to focus on player additions through the transfer portal. Keep track of the movements of transfers here to see who will be joining the Dukes this offseason.
In terms of departures, Terrence Edwards, the 2023-24 Sun Belt Player of the Year, is considering testing the NBA waters after averaging 17.2 points per game for the Dukes. Sophomore guard Xavier Brown also showcased his scoring abilities during the Sun Belt Championship game. Additionally, Jaylen Carey, a big man with high potential, has entered the transfer portal as well.
