Tottenham Hotspur’s Djed Spence in Talks to Return to Italy’s Serie A with Genoa

Club Nearing Agreement to Sign Tottenham Hotspur Player

Tottenham Hotspur and Genoa are currently in negotiations to bring Spurs star Djed Spence back to Italy’s Serie A. Last season, Tottenham loaned out several players to gain experience and offload those not in Ange Postecoglou’s plans. One of those players was full-back Djed Spence, who initially went on loan to Leeds United before joining Genoa on loan with an option to buy.

Spence impressed Genoa with his performances, but they did not want to pay the €10m option to make his move permanent. However, they are still interested in the player and are now in negotiations for a new loan deal. Genoa’s CEO, Andres Blazquez, recently visited London to discuss the terms of the potential agreement.

The proposed deal is likely to be another loan with an obligation to buy set at €8m. If the deal goes through, Spence would join Genoa permanently next summer, effectively ending his time at Spurs. The talks between Genoa and Tottenham are progressing, and it looks like a deal could be reached in the near future.
