We have highlighted the top five athletes from various counties including Bullitt, Jefferson, Oldham, Shelby, and Spencer below. Kaine Samuels from Ballard excelled in baseball as a junior pitcher/first baseman. He finished the season with a 9-1 record, one save, a 1.75 ERA, and 78 strikeouts in 67 ⅓ innings. Samuels also batted .439 with five home runs, 11 doubles, 36 RBIs, and 30 runs scored. He has committed to Western Kentucky University and was named Seventh Region Player of the Year and first-team All-State.
