A Paris court has demanded a prison sentence of nineteen years against Salim Berrada, also known as the ‘Tinder rapist’, for allegedly raping or sexually assaulting approximately seventeen women between 2014 and 2016. The 38-year-old photographer met his victims through dating apps, including Tinder. The public prosecutor described him as an “insatiable egocentric hunter” and called for a strict sentence, considering that the maximum prison sentence for rape is twenty years.
Despite facing multiple accusations, Berrada continues to deny abusing women, claiming that the relationships were consensual and some claims were fabricated. On Friday, he will deliver his final statement to the court.
