Timber Lake High School Dominates High Plains Regional Science Fair; Shawn Quinn Heads to Los Angeles for International Competition with Ultrasonic Haptic Awareness Project

Timber Lake sweeps top two awards at High Plains Regional Science Fair

Shawn Quinn’s project, “Ultrasonic Haptic Awareness: Phase 2,” earned him a trip to the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair in Los Angeles next month. The project was showcased by Quinn at the recent High Plains Regional Science Fair in Rapid City, where it won the top prize. Timber Lake High School students dominated the fair, with two of them taking home the top awards.

Quinn’s project was selected as the first-place qualifier for the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair. His success at the regional fair has earned him the opportunity to represent the High Plains region at the upcoming prestigious science and engineering fair in Los Angeles. The project stood out among the top-scoring projects in the senior division, making it a standout among other projects presented at the fair.
