TidalHealth Hosts HealthFest to Address Food Scarcity and Underserved Communities

Tidal Health discusses HealthFest with Good Morning Delmarva

TidalHealth is hosting a HealthFest called “Care for Generations” on June 22nd. This event is designed to help individuals learn how to maintain their health and receive essential services at no cost. Kat Rodgers, the lead for HealthFest, recently appeared on Good Morning Delmarva to provide more information about the event and how it’s helping the community.

The Care for Generations HealthFest will cater to people of all ages, from young children to the elderly. Attendees will have the chance to speak with professionals such as pharmacists, doctors, and phlebotomists. The event organizers are dedicated to reaching out to communities that may not have participated in previous years.

In addition to providing valuable health information, this year’s HealthFest will offer free food as a way of acknowledging the food scarcity issues that have arisen this year. TidalHealth has made an effort to reach out to underserved communities by changing its location and providing interpreters who can assist those who speak Spanish or Haitian-creole.
