At the 2024 Gran Premio NYC, Tibor del Grosso emerged victorious after out-sprinting Wilmar Paredes to win the race. The event featured a strong field, including two UCI ProTeams – VF Group Bardiani-CSF Faizanè and Team Corratec-Vini Fantini.

The men’s podium saw Del Grosso take first place, followed by Paredes in second and Johannes Adamietz in third. Despite finishing with the same time of 3:04:20, Del Grosso secured his first win for Alpecin-Deceuninck Development with a late surge to the finish line.

A breakaway group of four riders, including Del Grosso, Paredes, Adamietz and Milan Donie formed after the climbs near Harriman State Park. They managed to build a lead of nearly a minute on the chase group led by VF Group Bardiani CSF Faizanè. The final push towards the finish in Fort Lee was led by Lotto Dstny duo, with Del Grosso clinching victory ahead of Paredes.

Gran Premio NYC is the only UCI 1.2 road race left on the US calendar, held on the same course as the GFNY World Championship NYC mass participation race. In addition to professional races, amateur events were also held at Gran Premio NYC. Former WorldTour pro Brent Bookwalter claimed victory in men’s 40-44 division with a time of 3:30:17
