Throwback Giants: Celebrating 100th Anniversary with a Unique and Historical Look

Giants introduce special alternate uniforms in honor of 100th anniversary

The Giants will be celebrating their 100th anniversary this season with the introduction of an alternate uniform. This new “Century Red” look is quite different from their usual attire in the modern era and features red jerseys with a blue midsection underneath white numbers, along with a special 100th season patch on the upper left.

The Giants’ team recently revealed that this new design is a replica of the uniforms they wore in 1933, the year they made it to the first NFL Championship Game. In addition to the red jerseys, they will wear tan pants with red and blue striped socks reminiscent of their 1925 uniforms. The team will also sport alternate helmets that resemble the winged helmets worn by Michigan but in red and blue colors instead of maize and blue.

The Giants plan to wear these throwback uniforms for up to two games during the season, and given its unique and historical nature, it is likely to prompt strong reactions from fans and observers alike whenever it is worn on the field.
