The JACKALOPE festival, a major event held in Virginia Beach, kicked off this weekend near Neptune’s Park. Scheduled from May 31 through June 2, the sports festival featured a thrilling spotlight on various extreme sports including vert scene, street skateboarding, bouldering, freestyle motocross, BMX, BASE jumping, and skimboarding.
Micah Desforges, Founding President of TRIBU and producer of the JACKALOPE series, expressed his excitement about the energy of the Virginia Beach community pushing participants to enhance their performances. Desforges also mentioned the warm welcome received from the municipality and the public, making the event memorable for everyone involved. Last year’s event at Virginia Beach made history and led to the creation of an original North American series.
The festival brought together over 500 athletes from around the world to compete in 7 sports, with international-level competitions involving participants from eight countries.
