Security cameras record theft of 22-foot trailer at business in Fort Lauderdale – WSVN 7News | Miami News, Weather, Sports

A 22-foot trailer filled with two four-wheelers and valuable tools was stolen from a man on the 900 block of Northwest 51st Place in Fort Lauderdale. The theft occurred on Saturday morning in a fenced-in yard next to the man’s business. According to Mike Terango, the owner of the trailer, it is worth an estimated $50,000 to $75,000.

Surveillance cameras recorded a thief pulling up in a truck and driving off with the trailer after opening the gate. The video shows that the theft took only about 10 minutes and that the thief closed the gate behind him as he left. Terango suspects that the thief may have been targeting his specific trailer, although two four-wheelers happened to be inside at the time.

Terango is offering a $10,000 cash reward for information leading to the arrest of the perpetrator. He is more interested in apprehending the thief to prevent similar incidents from happening to others rather than recovering his stolen equipment. Anyone with information about the theft or whereabouts of suspect is urged to contact Broward County Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS. Tips can be provided anonymously and may be eligible for a reward of up to $5,000.
