The Women in Business Luncheon Set to Inspire and Empower Local Entrepreneurs

Mayfield-Graves County Chamber of Commerce Women in Business Luncheon Scheduled for April 30 | News

The Women in Business Luncheon hosted by the Mayfield-Graves County Chamber of Commerce is set to take place on Tuesday, April 30. The event will be held at Trace Creek Baptist Church, with doors opening at 11 a.m. Participants will have the opportunity to explore the vendor area featuring local retailers and nonprofits.

The lunch will kick off at noon with emcee Jennifer Back Walker from the MGCTC leading the program. Tina Coltharp Woodruff, a Graves County native and owner of ProPlanIt, a custom event planning service based in Texas, will be the featured speaker. Tina is described as a trailblazer, trendsetter, and visionary with two decades of experience that has propelled her business to success and inspired others.

Attendees will receive a goody bag and have the chance to win door prizes at the luncheon. The event will also feature the announcement of the 2024 Mary Propes Business Woman of the Year Award Winner, presented by Mayfield Consumer Products. Recipients of this award are inspirational women with significant career achievements and community involvement beyond their job.

Past recipients of the award include Jennifer Beck Walker, Jill Celaya, Allie McClain, Sharon Green, Teresa Rochetti-Cantrell, Kathy O’Nan, and Georgann Lookofsky. A portion of the ticket proceeds will benefit the 2024 Mayfield-Graves County ASAP Youth Council, which empowers teens to live above the influence through education, advocacy, prevention of substance abuse, and promotion of positive mental health.
