The College World Series is just around the corner, with the 2024 NCAA baseball tournament gearing up to crown a new champion. The field of 64 teams will be revealed on Monday, with the top 16 schools hosting the regionals.

Tennessee, currently ranked number one in the USA TODAY Sports baseball coaches poll, is leading the way and hoping to make it all the way to Omaha. However, as history has shown, surprises and upsets are always possible in this tournament.

The NCAA Division I baseball tournament will begin with the regionals from May 31 to June 3, hosted by the top 16 overall seeds. The super regionals will then take place from June 7-9 and June 8-10. Finally, the College World Series will kick off on June 14 with double-elimination play, followed by a best-of-three championship series on June 22, 23, and 24 (if necessary) at Charles Schwab Field in Omaha, Nebraska.

In last year’s tournament, LSU emerged victorious over Florida in a thrilling College World Series final game that ended with a score of 18-4. Pitcher Paul Skenes was named MOP (Most Outstanding Player), while outfielder Dylan Crews made history by reaching base in all games that season. Both players went on to be selected first and second overall in the MLB draft respectively, signifying a major milestone for their respective programs.

As players prepare for this year’s tournament, they are focused on dominating their respective regions and making it to Omaha. With so much talent spread across so many teams
