The Unsung Hero: Tre’Shawn Pittard and His Lawnmowing Business

Toledo teen’s summer business thwarted by stolen lawnmower

Tre’Shawn Pittard, now 13 years old, first gained recognition from the community when he was just 11 years old and running his own lawnmowing business. Unfortunately, last year, his mower was stolen, leaving him without a way to continue his business. Despite receiving multiple lawnmowers from generous donors in Toledo, Tre’Shawn has faced setbacks with his equipment. One mower was damaged by his aunt’s dog, another was stolen, and the third needs gas and oil to operate. As a result, he is unable to fulfill requests for lawn service that he receives, leaving him eager to get his business up and running again before the school year begins in the Fall.

Tre’Shawn enjoys mowing lawns as a way to stay active and occupied rather than spending his time indoors playing video games. He appreciates the support from his community and hopes to resume his services with the help of a working lawnmower. If you are interested in assisting Tre’Shawn, you can reach out to his mother, Diamond, at 567-339-0232.

As Tre’Shawn looks forward to starting 7th Grade in the Fall, he remains hopeful that he can overcome the challenges he has faced with his lawnmowing business and continue to serve his community. The support and generosity of those around him have been instrumental in his journey, and he is grateful for any assistance in getting his business back on track.
