7’9″ Olivier Rioux Breaks World Record as Tallest Teenager; Commits to Florida CBB | News, Scores, Highlights, Stats, and Rumors

Olivier Rioux, a Guinness World Record holder for being the tallest teenager, has always been an imposing presence on the basketball court. Standing at 6’11” in the sixth grade and passing seven feet before the seventh grade, he was already making waves as a young athlete.

But it’s his family’s towering stature that has propelled him to even greater heights. With his father standing at 6’8”, his mother at 6’2”, and his older brother at 6’9” , it is no surprise that Rioux has continued to grow. In fact, recent updates suggest that he may have grown even taller, standing at 7’7” .

Travis Branham, a 247Sports basketball analyst and a 3-star prospect, had previously scouted Rioux when he was just 7’6”. Described as a center who takes up immense space on the floor, Rioux excels at clogging the paint, defending, and rebounding.

Now, Rioux is set to play Division I basketball for Florida, a team that had a successful season with 24 wins and a run to the SEC tournament final. The towering center will look to make an impact for the Gators on the court with his size and skills.
