The Shops at Wiregrass: A Haven for Unique Experiences and Diverse Enterprises

Shops at Wiregrass: A Destination for National Retailers and Local Entrepreneurs

The Shops at Wiregrass, a 15-year-old outdoor mall located in Wesley Chapel, is a popular destination for residents and visitors alike. With over 120 shops and restaurants, including local owners and major chains, the mall offers a diverse range of experiences for visitors.

Marie Hartman, the general manager, describes the Shops at Wiregrass as the downtown area of Wesley Chapel. It’s a place where people can come together to relax, shop, and dine. The mall is constantly evolving to enhance the overall experience for visitors. Throughout the year, the Shops at Wiregrass host weekly and yearly events, particularly during the cooler months.

One of the unique stores at the mall is Rocks, Crystals, and Gems owned by Rob Lewis and his wife. They started their shop three years ago offering rocks and gems from around the world. By sourcing materials ethically and effectively, they have attracted a loyal customer base thanks to the foot traffic at the mall.

Another interesting store is Yomato, a Teppanyaki restaurant run by a father/son duo. Eric Han’s father was a former professional soccer player in Korea who transitioned to becoming a sushi chef in America. Inspired by his father’s passion for cooking and serving customers, Han decided to follow in his footsteps and pursue a career in the restaurant industry with hopes of one day owning his own restaurant or bar.
