The Return of the Santa Maria Indians Baseball Organization: An Exciting New Era for Local High School Players

Brief Recap of the Fall Ball Season Sponsored by High School

The Santa Maria Indians Outlaws baseball organization is excited to announce the upcoming fall ball season for all high school players. Players are invited to bring a team or be placed on a squad, with a $25 player deposit required. Assessments will take place every Tuesday and Thursday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. during an open practice at Elks Field in Santa Maria. The original Santa Maria Indians organization has returned to its home city after several years in Templeton as the North County Indians. The team plays in the Collegiate League and will host its home games at Elks Field in Santa Maria. The Santa Maria Indians are set to face off against the San Luis Obispo Blues in a league game at Sinsheimer Field on Friday, followed by a doubleheader against the East Los Angeles Dodgers on Saturday at Elks Field. The first game starts at 1 p.m., with the second game scheduled for 4 p.m.

Anthony Morales, the athletic director of Pioneer Valley High School, has been honored with a lifetime service award from the California Wrestling Hall of Fame for his contributions to wrestling in California’s Central Section. Morales received this recognition at a ceremony held on Saturday at Double Tree Hotel in Fresno, California. During his acceptance speech, he thanked his colleagues and friends who have supported him throughout his career, including Kenny Cress of the Santa Maria Times who was present to cover the event.
