The Quad Life Science campus, a 9.8-acre life science and advanced-manufacturing park in West Cambridge, MA, has been completed by The Davis Companies (Davis). This class A life science and lab building at 101 Smith Pl., encompassing 161,616 s/f, is the third to be built as part of the campus.
Developed in partnership with Invesco Real Estate, The Quad consists of three life science facilities and one advanced manufacturing building with future development opportunities. The campus master plan has been carefully designed to incorporate elements of workplace, innovation, and lifestyle.
The completion of 101 Smith Place represents the final milestone in realizing the vision for The Quad. Chief portfolio management officer at Davis, Cappy Daume, expressed excitement about the spec suite program at 101 Smith Place, designed with flexibility in mind to support the research and manufacturing needs of tenants like Samsung SDI.
Samsung SDI, a South Korea-based battery and electronic materials manufacturer majority-owned by Samsung Electronics, has secured a ten-year lease agreement for a 13,604 s/f spec suite on the third floor of 101 Smith Pl., which will be completed in December 2024.
