The Outlaw Tour: Willie Nelson’s Surprise Absence and His Son’s Rockin’ Performance.

Health issues cause Willie Nelson to cancel planned shows

The Outlaw Music Festival Tour fans were in for a surprise when they learned that Willie Nelson would not be performing at the first few shows. Hours before the tour kicked off in Alpharetta, Georgia on June 21, an announcement was made that the legendary musician was not feeling well and had been advised by doctors to rest for a few days.

Despite his absence, Willie’s son, Lukas Nelson, and the Family Band stepped up to perform in his place. Other artists like Bob Dylan, Robert Plant & Alison Krauss, and Celisse continued with their scheduled sets. The exact date of Willie’s return to the tour has not been announced yet.

Willie did not perform at subsequent concerts in Charlotte, North Carolina, and Raleigh, North Carolina. It remains uncertain if he will be back for the upcoming show in Virginia Beach, Virginia. The Outlaw tour is also scheduled to make stops in New York and New Jersey.

Willie Nelson has had a long and successful career as a musician, actor, and activist. He recently turned 91 and was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Despite his absence from the tour, fans are hopeful that Willie will make a quick recovery and be back on stage soon.
