The Mystery of Odell Beckham Jr.’s Absence from Miami Dolphins Practice: A Closer Look at the Standard Process and Players’ Comments

OBJ has not yet had the opportunity to practice with his new Dolphins teammates.

Four weeks ago, the Dolphins signed receiver Odell Beckham Jr. However, since then, Beckham has not yet practiced with his new teammates. He is present for mandatory minicamp, but the team has chosen to keep him out of team drills for the time being. Coach Mike McDaniel explained that they want to take the time to learn about Beckham, develop a relationship with him, and ensure his health before he takes the field with the team. This is a standard process that the team follows when welcoming new players.

Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle shared that Beckham has not practiced with them yet. Waddle expressed his excitement at the prospect of playing alongside Beckham and Hill, who he admired while in high school. Waddle is now a standout player himself, earning more money annually than either Hill or Beckham. Hill affectionately calls Waddle by the number 28, to which Waddle should consider responding by calling Hill “25” in jest due to Hill’s complicated compensation package that artificially raised his average annual earnings.
