Four-star receiver Travis Smith Jr. announces commitment date

Travis Smith Jr., a highly sought-after wide receiver recruit, has announced that he will commit to one of the top schools in the country on July 13th. Smith is considering Georgia, Alabama, Auburn, and Tennessee and is set to visit each school in the coming weeks.

The 6-foot-4, 190-pound athlete plays high school football at Westlake High School in Atlanta, Georgia. He is currently ranked as the No. 118 recruit in the nation by 247Sports and is considered one of the top wide receivers in his class. Additionally, Smith excels in basketball and track and field, making him a versatile athlete.

Despite interest from multiple schools, 247Sports projects Smith to commit to the Georgia Bulldogs. Led by coach Kirby Smart, Georgia currently boasts the nation’s 12th-ranked recruiting class. The Bulldogs have already secured commitments from nine recruits in the class of 2025, including three-star wide receiver Thomas Blackshear.

Georgia football has a strong track record of attracting top talent, having signed the nation’s No. 1 recruiting class in the 2024 cycle. Fans and coaches alike are eagerly anticipating Smith’s commitment announcement on July 13th to see which school he will choose to play for next season.
