The Everlasting Tensions: Patriots’ Super Bowl Win Still Causes Resentment and Boos in St. Louis and Beyond

Tom Brady receives a hostile welcome from the St. Louis crowd

Despite the passage of time, the perception that the New England Patriots’ win in Super Bowl XXXVI was tainted remains fresh in the minds of people in St. Louis. The resentment towards the team and its star quarterback, Tom Brady, is still palpable among locals who still harbor a sore spot regarding that game.

When Brady returned to St. Louis recently to present the UFL Championship MVP award, he was met with a mixed response from fans. While some cheered and applauded him, others booed and jeered as he presented the trophy to Birmingham Stallions quarterback Adrian Martinez.

Despite the negative reception, Brady made an appearance in the Fox broadcast booth during the second quarter of the game. Before the game, he was seen chatting with former Rams quarterback Kurt Warner, who has previously expressed doubts about the Patriots’ win.

Brady should expect to be booed in other cities as well, given the dominance of the Patriots during his time with the team. The resentment towards Brady and the Patriots is still prevalent in many NFL cities, and Buffalo fans might have something even more creative in store for him when he visits their city.
