Taking a bath immediately after exercising can be dangerous as it can lead to peripheral 7th nerve paralysis. This condition results in complete loss of movement or weakness in half of the face due to nerve damage. It occurs when the 7th nerve is compressed and becomes inflamed, affecting facial muscle movements and the ability to express emotions on the face. Though not life-threatening, it can have serious consequences.

Apart from this risk, bathing immediately after exercising can also pose other health risks. It is recommended to wait for 30-40 minutes after exercising to allow your body to cool down before taking a warm bath. Showering with cold water immediately after exercising can raise blood pressure, potentially increasing the risk of a stroke. Therefore, it is important to take precautions and wait before bathing post-exercise to ensure a safer recovery process.
