The Black Mental Health & Wellness Symposium Returns: Supporting the Community and Breaking the School-to-Prison Pipeline

Symposium on Black Mental Health and Wellness Scheduled in Mansfield, Ohio

The Black Mental Health & Wellness Symposium is returning for its second year, as Legacy Academy of Excellence and NAMI Richland County join forces to celebrate the importance of mental health and wellness in the African American community. This event will be held on June 10th at Legacy Academy of Excellence, located at 215 N. Trimble Road in Mansfield.

The symposium aims to address the challenges faced by the Black community when it comes to mental health, as well as providing support to those who are affected. It will also focus on supporting loved ones with mental illness and breaking the cycle of the school-to-prison pipeline.

This free event will feature dinner, fun activities, and celebrations for families from 2:30-7 p.m. Doors will open at 2:30 p.m. for a welcome reception, followed by the symposium at 3 p.m., which guests can attend by obtaining free tickets on eventbrite.com.
