TGL Welcomes Hideki Matsuyama to their Lineup for Prime Time Debut Next Year

Hideki Matsuyama takes over Tyrrell Hatton’s spot on TGL’s Boston team

Hideki Matsuyama has joined the Boston Commons Golf team, which is set to debut in prime time next year. The TGL, a tech-infused golf league, recently announced this addition to their lineup. Matsuyama took over the spot that was previously held by Tyrrell Hatton, who left after joining LIV Golf. Rory McIlroy, Adam Scott, and Keegan Bradley are also part of the team.

Matsuyama expressed his excitement about joining such respected players and hopes to push the boundaries of golf and provide fans with an unforgettable experience. He looks forward to winning championships with his new teammates.

The TGL events will consist of 15 regular-season matches and a postseason, starting in January 2025 at the custom-built SoFi Center in South Florida. Unfortunately, the league’s inaugural season was delayed by a year due to the collapse of the dome at the original SoFi Center last November. However, fortunately, there were no injuries resulting from this incident, with a partial power failure causing the dome to deflate.

Boston Common Golf is owned by Fenway Sports Group and is one of six teams established by TMRW Sports, led by Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy, and CEO Mike McCarley.
