Texas Completes Selection of Business Court Judges, Houston Included

Recently, Texas has finalized its new business courts with the appointment of Grant Dorfman and Sofia Adrogué to the Houston division. These appointments come after Governor Greg Abbott announced a total of 10 judges for the business courts, two in each of the major cities including Austin, Dallas, Fort Worth, San Antonio, and Houston.

Abbott has been highly involved in the establishment of these new courts, urging the state legislature to create them in order to better serve the needs of Texas businesses. Dorfman currently serves as the deputy first assistant to state Attorney General Ken Paxton while Adrogué is a partner with Diamond McCarthy LLP.
