Texas Holds Fourth Place Ranking in Best State Economies

Texas has been ranked as the fourth best state economy in the nation, according to a recent report from WalletHub. This comes at a time when there are concerns about a possible recession in the United States. Despite these concerns, Texas was only behind Washington, Utah, and Massachusetts in the study.

The report analyzed all 50 states and the District of Columbia based on 28 metrics to determine the best and worst state economies in 2024. Texas scored 60.08 out of 100 possible points, just slightly below Massachusetts which earned 61.52 points. Washington secured the top spot with a score of 71.10.

In terms of economic activity, Texas ranked second in the study, with a score of 73.43 out of 100 possible points. In addition to this, Texas was seventh in economic health and had a score of 79.33 out of 100 possible points.
