Texans Wide Receiver Tank Dell Returns to Full Speed in OTA Practices After Shooting Incident

DeMeco Ryans enjoys watching Tank Dell run around

On Tuesday, Texans wide receiver Tank Dell shared some good news about his health as he continues to progress in his recovery. This positive sign comes after a video was shared over the weekend showing Dell running routes without issue, following his shooting incident in Florida late April.

Despite no connection to the shooter, Dell sustained minor injuries. However, head coach DeMeco Ryans expressed his happiness at seeing Dell back on the field and participating fully in the team’s OTA practices. “Happy for Tank to get back out there. He went through a very tragic situation,” Ryans stated. “We’re just happy that he’s here, happy that he’s back out being able to do what he loves doing and that’s playing football.”

Dell’s return to full speed is exciting for the Texans as they look forward to having him, Nico Collins, and Stefon Diggs as key players catching passes from C.J. Stroud in the upcoming season. Before his injury last December, Dell was having a standout rookie season and is expected to make a significant impact once again this year.
