Tesla’s Continued Investment in Autopilot Division Amidst Layoffs: A Look into Their Current Job Postings

Tesla Resumes Hiring for AI Positions Following Recent Layoffs

Tesla is currently hiring for its Autopilot division, despite recent mass layoffs. The company has posted a number of engineering roles on its careers page, focusing on driver-assist software and AI research. These positions are based out of Tesla’s engineering headquarters in Palo Alto, California.

Despite ongoing layoffs, Tesla continues to emphasize the importance of cost reduction and efficiency within the company. The company removed over 3,000 job postings from its site in May, shortly after CEO Elon Musk announced plans to cut more than 10% of Tesla’s total workforce. However, the Autopilot division remains a key area of focus for the company.

Some of the roles listed by Tesla include software engineering positions for Autopilot’s user interfaces, as well as AI research roles within the Autopilot team. Despite challenges in the EV industry and recent PR team dissolution, Tesla has not responded to requests for comment on its recent hiring activities.

In addition to hiring new staff, Tesla has also rescinded offers for incoming full-time employees and interns in May. Despite these challenges, Tesla remains focused on innovation and expanding its Autopilot division, with Elon Musk highlighting self-driving technology as a key driver of growth moving forward.
