Tensions Rise as Settlers Storm Al-Aqsa Mosque and Attack UN Facilities in Jerusalem

Israeli flags raised as hundreds of settlers invade Al-Aqsa

In the early morning hours, hundreds of Israeli settlers stormed the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque, raising Israeli flags and chanting slogans calling for a mass invasion. This occurred on the 76th anniversary of the declaration of the establishment of Israel and was met with full police protection. The Islamic Endowments Department reported that 423 settlers entered Al-Aqsa through the Mughrabi Gate, where they performed racist Talmudic rituals and took provocative tours of the courtyards.

Meanwhile, in a separate incident, settlers threw flammable materials at the UNRWA headquarters in Jerusalem for the third time in a week. The attack was met with condemnation from Palestinian media, who reported that a young man’s body was recovered without a head from a house where he had raised an armed cell of the “Qassam Brigades” ten days ago in Deir Al-Ghusun, north of Tulkarm in the West Bank.

The situation is ongoing and has been escalating with settler incursions, attacks on UN facilities, and violent incidents continuing to occur. The Israeli authorities have been called upon to ensure that all individuals and facilities are protected according to international law. These events underscore the importance of finding peaceful resolutions to conflicts in the region.
