Titans ink deal with second-round pick T’Vondre Sweat

The Tennessee Titans have officially signed their entire draft class, which includes second-round defensive tackle T’Vondre Sweat. Despite a DUI incident in Austin shortly before the draft, the Titans decided to take a chance on Sweat.

Throughout his college career at Texas, Sweat recorded 45 tackles, eight tackles for loss, and two sacks. He was also awarded the Outland Award for being the country’s best interior lineman. Now that he has joined the Titans, Sweat will be joining first-round tackle JC Latham, fourth-round linebacker Cedric Gray, fifth-round cornerback Jarvis Brownlee Jr., sixth-round receiver Jha’Quan Jackson, seventh-round linebacker James Williams, and seventh-round linebacker Jaylen Harrell in this year’s draft class.

As Sweat works to find a role on the Titans’ defense in Nashville, the team will be hoping that he can remain out of trouble off the field. Despite his off-field issues, Sweat has shown promise on the field, and the Titans will be looking for him to make a positive impact on the team.
