Parking prices rise in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem

The Tel Aviv Municipal Council has recently approved a significant reduction in the municipal budget by half a billion shekels. In order to achieve this goal, they have decided to increase the average cost of an hour of parking in municipal lots from 16 to 20 shekels, and daily rates from 24 to 30 shekels. These new tariffs will take effect on July 1st. Additionally, price hikes were also approved for various city services such as summer camps, clubs, swimming pools, fitness centers, and centers for the elderly.

Meanwhile, Jerusalem City Hall is also planning to raise parking rates in the near future, from 6.7 shekels per hour to 12.4 shekels per hour. This increase will apply to guests of the city, while residents will continue to pay 6.4 shekels per hour with the added benefit of an hour of free parking per day.
