Since May 5th, Palomar Health Medical Group has been experiencing technical difficulties due to suspicious activity on certain computer systems within its network. This was reported by KPBS news partner 10News. As a result, phones, faxes and patient portals were taken offline in order to prevent the potential spread of malware.
Despite these issues, Palomar Healthcare District, which includes Palomar Medical Center Escondido and Palomar Medical Center Poway, remained operational. PHMG facilities are open and continue to offer care to patients, but delays may occur in accessing services.
If you have been impacted by the PHMG network outage, KPBS wants to hear from you. Have the technical difficulties affected your ability to access care or make appointments? Share your experiences with us using the form below and your response may be featured in an upcoming story.
