Taskin Ahmed’s Oversleeping: Bangladesh Cricket Team Left Without Fast Bowler Against India

Bangladesh cricket team’s veteran fast bowler, Taskin Ahmed, was reportedly absent from the T20 World Cup 2024 match against India due to oversleeping. According to a report, Taskin was unable to be reached by the team management as he was asleep in his room and missed the team bus before the game. A team official had to stay back at the hotel in an attempt to contact Taskin, who later arrived at the venue. The coach, Chandika Hathurusingha, decided not to include Taskin in the playing XI for the match against India.

The decision not to play Taskin shocked fans and experts alike, as Bangladesh only went with Tanzim Hasan Sakib and Mustafizur Rahman as their fast bowlers for the game.
