Tadweer joins forces with Livedian to reduce carbon emissions from waste

In a groundbreaking partnership, the Tadweer Group has joined forces with British climate company Levidian to tackle one of the world’s most significant climate challenges – removing carbon from waste. The group is currently working on a pilot project in Abu Dhabi that will be the first of its kind globally and is expected to become operational by 2024.

Ali Al Dhaheri, CEO of Tadweer, emphasized the importance of investing in sustainability technology to bring advanced waste treatment methods to the UAE. By partnering with like-minded companies like Levidian, Tadweer aims to pioneer innovative waste management solutions that benefit future generations.

John Hartley, CEO of Levidian, highlighted the urgency of addressing climate-related challenges in the waste sector. The collaboration with Tadweer will support waste companies and governments in their efforts to extract value from waste and reduce carbon emissions.

The joint project between Tadweer and Levidian will utilize a mobile system that implements carbon removal projects worldwide. This technology aims to address methane waste issues and provide scalable solutions for waste management worldwide.

Oliver Christian, British government’s trade commissioner in the Middle East, expressed his excitement about the partnership as it reflects a shared ambition between both companies to tackle one of the world’s biggest climate challenges head-on. The group’s dedication to circular economy combined with Levidian’s innovative climate technology for carbon removal creates new opportunities for converting waste into energy and extracting value from it globally.
