T20 World Cup Squad Takes a Break from Warm-Up Game to Address Personal Matters, India Readies for Intense Schedule

Virat Kohli may skip India’s only warm-up game at T20 World Cup due to mini-break post IPL

India’s T20 World Cup squad, including Virat Kohli, Sanju Samson and Hardik Pandya, may miss the team’s only warm-up game against Bangladesh on June 1 as they take a short break from the game after the IPL. According to a BCCI official speaking to The Indian Express, Kohli had informed them in advance about his delayed arrival, so the BCCI adjusted his visa appointment accordingly.

The first group of Indian players left on Saturday, with a second group scheduled to leave on Monday. However, Sanju Samson has notified the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) that he is delaying his departure due to personal matters in Dubai. The BCCI has approved the request of these three players.

India is set to start their T20 World Cup campaign against Ireland on June 5, followed by a match against Pakistan on June 9, and games against the United States and Canada. The team is gearing up for a challenging tournament ahead.
