T20 World Cup: India and Afghanistan Shine as Semi-finals Approach

India’s Opponent for T20 World Cup 2024 Semi-finals Revealed: Find Out Date, Timings, and Venue

India continues to shine in the T20 World Cup, with their victory against Australia in the Super 8’s match led by Captain Rohit Sharma’s impressive 92 runs off 42 balls. The team is now looking forward to facing defending champions England in the upcoming semi-final on June 27.

Meanwhile, Afghanistan has been making waves in the championship as well. They managed to bowl out Bangladesh for 105 in the Super 8’s match and eliminated Australia from the tournament. Afghanistan will be up against undefeated Team South Africa in their semi-final match on June 27 at Brian Lara Cricket Academy Stadium in Tarouba, San Fernando, Trinidad and Tobago.

The semi-final matches have different timings and locations. While India vs. England will take place at Providence Stadium in Guyana at 8 pm IST, Afghanistan vs South Africa will start at 6 am IST on the same day.

Fans can catch the live stream of both matches for free on Disney+ Hotstar, with coverage also available on Star Sports Network. A change for the semi-finals is that both teams are required to bat a minimum of 10 overs, unlike the standard limit of five overs in other matches. This is crucial as unpredictable weather conditions have affected some games and if there are rain interruptions, then the team that finished higher in their respective Super 8 groups (India and South Africa) will advance to the final.

The highly anticipated final will take place at Kensington Oval Stadium in Bridgetown, Barbados on June 29. With millions of Indian fans tuning in to stay updated on election results, Disney+ Hotstar remains a go-to source for all the latest news and information related to T20 World Cup and other sports events happening around the world.
