Switzerland emerged victorious over Hungary in Group A with a 3-1 win. Goals from Kwadwo Duah and Michel Aebischer were scored in the first half, leaving Hungary struggling defensively. Despite their strong defensive record in qualifying for Euro 2024, they were unable to keep up with Switzerland’s experienced team.
Hungary improved in the second half, with Barnabás Varga scoring a goal, but Switzerland’s Breel Embolo sealed the victory for them in stoppage time. The win puts Switzerland second in Group A, behind Germany who won their match against Scotland 5-1.
