Morris Heights’ Swagga Jumpers are a team that exudes confidence and rhythm in everything they do. Led by Coach K, the team from I.S. 229 has been perfecting their double dutch skills since the beginning of the year and is now gearing up for the upcoming world championships in June. Ranieli Castillo, one of the team members, expresses her gratitude to her coaches and the hard work they have put in to get them to this point.
The Swagga Jumpers are known for their unmatched commitment to their sport, with early morning practices, lunchtime sessions, and after-school drills. Under Coach K’s guidance, they have not only honed their physical abilities but also developed important qualities such as discipline and teamwork. Coach K emphasizes that every flick of the wrist and whispered encouragement plays a crucial role in maintaining the flow of the routine.
With a national title already under their belts, the Swagga Jumpers approach this competition with the swagger and confidence of champions. They view this event as their Super Bowl – their chance to shine on a global stage and showcase their skills to the world.
