The Yampa Valley Sustainability Council and Steamboat Springs Chamber are teaming up to host the second installment of the “Business Leadership for Climate” workshop series this Wednesday. Local business owners and organizations are invited to participate in the event, which will take place from 1:30-3 p.m. at the Routt County Health and Human Services Community Room in Steamboat Springs.
During the workshop, attendees will learn about the benefits of state-level recognition through the Colorado Green Business Network and how to achieve bronze-level certification within the first year. The organizers will provide comprehensive knowledge about the green business program, guidance on the recognition application process, and tips on accumulating points toward certification.
The goal of the event is to support the growth of the Yampa Valley green business community and facilitate discussions about green business opportunities and challenges. Lunch will be provided by Hypnotic Chicken, with energy bars from Bar-U-Eat. The event is free and open to the public, but registration is required.
