Artificial Intelligence: A Daily Tool for 79% of Italians

During the Samsung AI Days event, the brand unveiled the results of a research project conducted in collaboration with Human Highway on “Italians and artificial intelligence.” The analysis showed that 58% of Italians lack a clear understanding of AI, despite recognizing its potential benefits. GenZ was identified as the most knowledgeable generation when it comes to AI.

The research found that there is a general trust in AI among Italians, with 65% believing it will improve their lives. Most Italians view AI as a tool for simplifying technology use, with customization being a key feature that appeals to users. The study also revealed that AI is viewed as a way to make lives more sustainable, with energy-saving being a significant benefit according to respondents.

In terms of daily productivity, one in four Italians stated that they do not use AI in their work or study routines. Common uses of AI include searching for information, managing and reprocessing data, and content creation. There are noticeable differences across generations in terms of AI usage, with GenZ being the most active and Boomers being less engaged.

Entertainment and social relations also benefit from AI, with one in five Italians using it for these purposes. AI is seen as a valuable tool for personalizing content suggestions in areas such as music, TV, and gaming. Different generations have varying preferences for the use of AI in entertainment, with GenZ showing a higher inclination towards personalized content suggestions.

The research also explored which devices are most useful for implementing AI technology in everyday life. Smartphones and laptops were identified as the top choices for most Italians when it comes to utilizing this technology at home or at work. Smart TVs, home appliances, and other devices also play an important role in enhancing user experience with AI technology.

Overall conclusions showed that Italians view AI as a valuable ally in both work and leisure activities. It offers personalized support and convenience in various aspects of their lives while simplifying technology use through customization features.
