On Sunday evening, an SUV heading northbound on 10th Street lost control and collided with the Community Health Center at 126 N. 10th St., according to Fort Dodge Police Lt. Caitlin Carlyle. The impact caused damage to the exterior of the building as well as to the door. The SUV also hit another vehicle before backing up and hitting the Community Health Center building a second time.
Carlyle reported that the driver of the SUV was taken to UnityPoint Health – Trinity Regional Medical Center by Fort Dodge Fire Department due to unknown injuries. The incident was reported at 6:22 p.m. on Sunday and was attended to by both the Fort Dodge Fire Department and Fort Dodge Police Department.
Later that Sunday night, members of the Fort Dodge Fire Department were seen cleaning up fluids that were spilled as a result of the accident that occurred in front of the Community Health Center located at 126 N. 10th St. Their efforts were aimed at addressing the aftermath and ensuring the safety of the area. The accident is currently being investigated by local authorities, according to Carlyle.
