Summer Science and Math Camps at Fort Hays State University Filling Up Fast: Register Now to Secure Your Spot!

Registration for the FHSU Science Summer Camp is now open.

Fort Hays State University’s Science and Mathematics Education Institute (SMEI) is excited to announce its summer camps for youth in grades four through eight. These camps are filling up quickly, so register soon to secure your spot! Each camp is limited to two per student and runs for four days a week, Monday through Thursday, with sessions lasting three hours either in the morning from 9 a.m. to noon or in the afternoon from 1 to 4 p.m.

This year, SMEI is offering a variety of exciting camps for students to explore different aspects of science and math through hands-on activities and projects. The Main Street Math Camp is designed for grades four through six, while A Sense of Place: Designing for Folklore and Fairytale Camp is offered for grades five and six. For older students, A Sense of Place: Designing for Folklore and Fairytale Camp is also available for grades seven and eight, as well as Camp North Star for grades five through seven and Robot O Rama Camp for grades four and five. Robo Challenge Camp is offered for grades six through eight.

The registration fee for each camp is $70, and the deadline to register is Friday, May 3. Registration is on a first-come, first-serve basis with a maximum of two camps per student.
