Webb Achieves Remarkable Detail in Capturing Top of Iconic Horsehead Nebula

NASA’s James Webb Space Telescope captured a stunning new view of the Horsehead Nebula, showcasing its delicate structure in near-infrared light. This image, taken in 2023 with contributions from ESA’s Euclid telescope, reveals the nebula in all its glory. The first image on the left, released in November 2023, shows the Horsehead Nebula in visible light as captured by ESA’s Euclid telescope with contributions from NASA.

The second image in the middle displays a view of the nebula in near-infrared light taken by NASA’s Hubble Space Telescope in 2013, revealing a delicate structure normally concealed by dust.
