Stryker Appoints Jessica Mathieson as President of Medical Division, Driving Growth and Partnering with Customers in Healthcare

Jessica Mathieson promoted as head of Stryker’s Medical division

Stryker (NYSE: SYK) recently appointed Jessica Mathieson as the president of its Medical division. Mathieson has been with the company since November 2008, starting as an account manager and progressing through various leadership roles, including business unit director of Acute Care and sales director.

Under her leadership, Mathieson’s teams have consistently delivered outstanding results, leading to significant growth and global expansion. Her focus on creating an inclusive environment and cultivating a strong company culture has earned her recognition as a standout leader within Stryker.

Stryker’s Medical division is a critical component of its MedSurg and Neurotechnology business, which also includes instruments, endoscopy, and neurovascular segments. In 2022, the Medical division reported $3.5 billion in sales, accounting for 17% of Stryker’s total revenue. The division offers a range of products including patient handling equipment, emergency medical supplies, disposable products for intensive care, and clinical communication and workflow services.

Andy Pierce, Stryker president of MedSurg and Neurotechnology, expressed his excitement for Mathieson to join the MedSurg and Neurotechnology Group Leadership Team and lead the strategy for the Medical division. He emphasized the importance of partnering with customers to deliver improved outcomes in the healthcare industry.
